Originally released in 1991, Badmotorfinger is the groundbreaking third studio album from Seattle grunge legends Soundgarden.
Blending crushing guitar riffs, thunderous rhythms, psychedelic influences and Chris Cornell's extraordinary vocals, Badmotorfinger helped define the heavier side of the early 1990s alternative rock movement.
Featuring iconic tracks such as "Rusty Cage", "Outshined", "Jesus Christ Pose", "Slaves & Bulldozers" and "Searching with My Good Eye Closed", the album delivers an explosive combination of heavy metal intensity, complex arrangements and dark, atmospheric songwriting.
Produced by Terry Date and Soundgarden, the record showcases the band's classic lineup of Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron. Their distinctive blend of Black Sabbath-inspired heaviness, unconventional time signatures and grunge aggression helped set Soundgarden apart from their Seattle contemporaries.
Released during the explosion of the Seattle music scene, Badmotorfinger established Soundgarden as one of the leading bands of the grunge era and laid the groundwork for their commercial breakthrough with Superunknown in 1994.
With its unforgettable guitar tones, powerful performances and unmistakable early-1990s atmosphere, Badmotorfingerremains one of the most influential alternative metal and grunge albums of its generation.
