Originally released in 1996, Friends in Danger is the groundbreaking debut studio album from Australian alternative rock legends Magic Dirt, fronted by Adalita Srsen.
Blending crushing guitar riffs, swirling distortion, haunting vocals and raw underground energy, Friends in Dangercaptures the band's distinctive mix of grunge, noise rock and alternative rock.
Featuring standout tracks such as "Sparrow", "I Was Cruel", "Fear" and "Bodysnatcher", the album moves between explosive guitar-driven chaos and atmospheric, slow-burning moments.
Emerging from the Australian independent music scene of the mid-1990s, Magic Dirt developed a sound that was both abrasive and hypnotic, drawing inspiration from American noise rock, shoegaze and the alternative rock explosion.
This special Emergency Red Vinyl LP reissue celebrates one of Australia's most influential underground rock releases, bringing its uncompromising sound back to vinyl in a striking collectible colour.
An essential addition to any 1990s alternative rock, grunge or Australian indie vinyl collection. Perfect for fans of Sonic Youth, The Breeders, Hole, Dinosaur Jr. and The Smashing Pumpkins.
